Céline Greenberg’s career in international arbitration spans over 15 years and includes some of the most complex, high-stakes disputes of the past two decades.
Before launching her own practice, *Céline* trained at a Magic Circle firm, and then spent eight years working alongside Pierre Mayer, one of the world’s most respected arbitrators. In 2024, she set up the arbitration practice of a reputed Paris-based independent full-service firm and immediately got "Firm to Watch" rankings in legal directories.
This career path gives her a rare advantage when she acts as counsel: she understands how arbitral tribunals think, what drives their decision-making, and how to shape effective case strategies.
She is also one of the most trusted arbitrators of her generation. She acts as arbitrator in proceedings governed by various institutional and ad hoc rules, applying a wide range of substantive laws.
What truly sets her apart, however, is the way she works: creatively, empathetically, and strategically.

Journey
Céline Greenberg was born and raised in Paris.
She studied law in a bilingual programme at Nanterre University, covering both French and Anglo-American legal traditions, before completing an LL.M. in International Law at the University of Bristol. A summer semester at NYU, focused on anthropology and foreign policy decision-making, deepened her understanding of the human and political dynamics behind legal conflict.
Céline is an architect of ideas, always attuned to the bigger picture. Her strength lies in turning complexity into coherence, especially when others see only dead ends.
As other working mums, Céline knows the value of time, the power of prioritisation, and the importance of choosing battles wisely — lessons that shape her working style as much as her personal life.
Clients trust her not only for her legal expertise, but for her ability to focus on what truly matters, cut through the noise, and offer solutions.
She is married to Simon Greenberg and has lots of small kids.
